Flair – “Sfumature”
Art comes in many forms. Some are sculpted in marble and some are painted in oil. There are also we see on people and fashion, to me, is wearable art. Before this art can be made to be worn by people, it is first put into paper to serve as a guide to realize the designer’s vision. This editorial from Flair is titled “Sfumature” (“Shades”) and it shows the work of Swiss fashion illustrator François Berthoud. The sketches feature haute couture designs from Chanel Haute Couture, Armani Privé, Dior Haute Couture and Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci. The illustrations are part of Flair’s December 2012 issue.
