The name Marie Antoinette is synonymous to opulence, luxury and glamour. In fact, the infamous French queen has been channeled many times before for editorials by many fashion magazines around the world and they all exude the same romance and allure that continue to fascinate people. This editorial from L’Officiel Thailand is titled “Cotton Candy” and it is inspired by a painting of Marie Antoinette when she was seven years old by Martin van Meytens. Model Polina takes the role of the young archduchess in modern fashions from Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and many others styled by fashion editor Pop Kampol. The images are lensed by photographer Apichart Chaichulla for L’Officiel Thailand’s December 2012 issue.
