Vogue Germany – “Lichtspiele”
Marlene Dietrich is a German-American actor whose performance in the 1930 film The Blue Angel made her a star. She also became a fashion icon and people are influenced by her style and elegance even in 2013. This editorial from Vogue Germany is titled “Lichtspiele” and it is inspired by German cinema and the glamour of its stars such as Dietrich. French model Constance Jablonski channels Marlene in looks styled by Vogue Germany’s Editor-in-Chief Christiane Arp from Bottega Veneta, Haider Ackermann, Giorgio Armani and many others. The black and white images look like screen grabs from a vintage movie or images taken backstage in Germany’s legendary Babelsberg Studios. Photographer Alexi Lubomirski captured the images for Vogue Germany’s February 2013 issue.
