Vogue Germany – “Wie Im Kino”

Wie Im Kino1

Rainer Werner Fasbinder’s Die Bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant (The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant) is a movie that has an all-female cast that was first shown in 1972. It is a film about a fashion designer named Petra who is based in Bremen and her relationships with two other women. This editorial from Vogue Germany is inspired by the film and features three models as the three main characters of the movie. The editorial, titled “Wie Im Kino” (“Like The Movies”), stars Meghan Collison, Guinevere van Seenus and Bette Franke who look decadent like 70s screen sirens in looks put together by stylist Patti Wilson. The pieces used in the shoot are from Rodarte, Gucci, Alberta Ferretti and many others. The images are lensed by photographers Daniele Duella and Iango Henzi for Vogue Germany’s February 2013 issue.
