Vogue Paris – “Couture”
We all know that couture is a word that is associated to clothing that costs more than a second-hand car. If one must feature decadent couture pieces on an editorial then the tried and tested formula always include an excellent photographer, a set that complements the fashions and a model that knows how to do her job. This editorial from Vogue Paris is using a different formula, but with successful results as they feature Freja Beha Erichsen garbed in pieces styled by Emmanuelle Alt from Atelier Versace, Armani Privé, Iris Van Herpen Couture and many others. Instead of going for an elegant setting, the shoot is done in locations that contrasts the luxurious pieces and instead of hiring just one excellent photographer, the French publication hired two amazing photographers namely Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. The editorial, titled “Couture”, is part of Vogue Paris’ May 2013 issue.
