Vogue Netherlands – “One of a Kind”
Couture is considered by many as a work of art. Mainly because of the time and effort spent in making one and purchasing a piece feels like you’re purchasing a Jeff Koons painting at Christie’s. The thing with couture is that only a few can actually own them so it feels like no one else but you will own that piece if you manage to acquire one. This editorial from Vogue Netherlands shows Fall’s most coveted couture pieces that fashionistas and ardent collectors have been yearning for since last season. The editorial, titled “One of a Kind”, shows Dutch model Elise Smidt in pieces from Valentino Haute Couture, Atelier Versace, Viktor & Rolf Haute Couture and many others. Vogue Netherlands’ Creative Director Martien Mellema selected the pieces used for the shoot while Anne Menke lensed the images for the magazine’s November 2013 issue.
