Dazed & Confused – “Appetite for Deconstruction”

Appetite for Deconstruction1

Many women like looking pretty and polished whenever they dress up. There’s nothing wrong with it and in fact most people encourage it, but sometimes those who do not make the effort get more people interested in them. Oddly, there are those who exert so much effort in order to look like they didn’t have any effort to the point of deconstructing their garments and having a look like they just rolled out of bed. This editorial from Dazed & Confused is titled “Appetite for Deconstruction” and it’s all about the trend in youth culture where a look is achieved by not being pretty, or as Tyra Banks would say, “ugly-pretty”. The editorial stars Sabrina Ioffreda who is looking ugly-pretty (or strung out) in pieces from Lanvin, The Kooples, Thakoon and many others selected by Karen Langley. The images are all captured by photographer Terry Tsiolis and are part of Dazed & Confused’s February 2014 issue.
