Vogue Paris – “La Vie de Château”
Women living in a château or a castle are usually expected by us commoners as ladies who frequently wear regal dresses or gowns like the princesses we often read about when we were children. Maybe because we associate castles with nobility and we often associate noblewomen with couture. Maybe that’s the reason why most editorials set in something luxurious like a castle often have the models wear the most decadent couture creations most women would long for. This editorial however from Vogue Paris is different as it features British model Vivien Solari who still looks regal while dressed like a woman who wears the trousers in the castle. The editorial, titled “La Vie de Château” (“The Castle Life”), is all about androgynous dressing with Vivien wearing pieces from Massimo Dutti, De Fursac, Hugo Boss and many others chosen by French stylist Véronique Didry. The images are lensed by photographer Scott Trindle for Vogue Paris’ March 2014 issue.
