Vogue Italia – “Abracadabra”
It takes an extremely talented stylist to style an African-themed editorial using fashion pieces that aren’t even African-inspired to begin with. In this case, Marie-Amélie Sauvé did an amazing job with her fashion choices for this editorial from Vogue Italia. The editorial is titled “Abracadabra” and it does transport us to Africa even though the shots are lensed inside a studio and with stuffed animals instead of real ones. The editorial stars Dutch model Saskia de Brauw who looks crazy yet fabulous in pieces from Chanel, Comme des Garçons, Céline and many others. The images are all captured by Steven Meisel and are part of Vogue Italia’s March 2014 issue.
