Elle UK – “Who Runs The World?”
We’re now in an age where women are now equal (if not better) with men when it comes to the boardroom. The outfit of choice for most of these women are pieces that are tailored in order to look serious and professional and though not everybody looks good in a suit, it is still worn in order to keep up in an industry dominated mostly by males. This editorial from Elle UK is all about tailored pieces that are both sharp and stylish fit for the woman who wants to look good and be taken seriously. The editorial, titled “Who Runs The World?”, stars Polish model Emilia Nawarecka who looks sharp in tailored pieces mixed with sporty pieces while interacting with male model David Cheung. Though the combination of tailored and sporty may not fly when inside the corporate arena, the styling does look good in this editorial and it may represent a woman on the go who works in Wall Street from 9 to 5 and then rushes to do something fun once she’s out of the office. Fashion Director Anne-Marie Curtis selected pieces from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci, Giorgio Armani, J.W. Anderson and many others. The editorial is shot by photographer Adam Whitehead and are part of Elle UK’s July 2014 issue.
