Vogue Germany – “Kunst am Körper”
Those who are into art and architecture know that the Bauhaus style is all about the creative collaboration of all the fine arts to create something that is not only beautiful but also practical. At the same time, Bauhaus style is not into too much detail and Bauhaus architects prefer doing a modern and minimalist approach to their designs. The movement is not limited to architecture though as the style can also be seen on furniture, ceramics, paintings and many others. The style can also be seen in fashion and this editorial from Vogue Germany shows that this style just does not go old even after more than half a century from when it was first introduced in Weimar by Walter Gropius. The editorial is titled “Kunst am Körper” (“Body Art”) and it stars Ophelie Guillermand who looks enigmatic in the season’s graphic designs. Stylist Katie Mossman styled the French model in pieces from Balenciaga, Peter Pilotto, Missoni and many others while photographer Sebastian Kim lensed the images. The editorial can be seen on the pages of Vogue Germany’s July 2014 issue.
