Prada has been tapping actors to star in their menswear campaigns lately and though some may find it tiring to see them instead of models, I myself am enchanted with the way Ben Whishaw, Era Miller and Christoph Waltz are modelling the Italian luxury label’s looks for A/W 2013-14 though my personal favorites are the ones with Ben). The English, American and Austrian-German actors are lensed in London by British photographer David Sims.

Many believe that it is a model’s job to wear fabulous clothes and look pretty in pictures and that’s just it. What many don’t know is that they have to evoke a character in order to make each of their pictures interesting while selling what they’re wearing. One such model who is good in her job is Cara Delevingne who stars in this editorial from Vogue China. The editorial, titled “The Transformer”, shows the British beauty going from her personal style to 60′s mod and taking in the characters of Penelope Tree, Edie Sedgwick, Jean Shrimpton and Twiggy in pieces selected by Vogue China’s International Fashion Director-at-Large Nicoletta Santoro. The pieces used in the shoot are from Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and many others. The images are lensed by photographer Patrick Demarchelier for Vogue China’s June 2013 issue.
